COVID delay-Recording Mechanic's Lien

Illinois

It is my understanding that there is a backlog in recording documents at the Cook County Recorder of Deeds due to COVID. If I e-recorded my mechanic's lien at the Cook County Recorder of Deeds and it has not been processed yet due to COVID related delays, is the lien recording date the date I e-recorded the lien or the date it will eventually be processed by the Recorder? Thank you.

Unfortunately, the recording date is the date the recorder files the document. The Cook County Recorder is about 5 weeks behind in recording documents. An alternative way to perfect a lien is by filing suit. Sadly, because of the recorder's delays, this is becoming necessary.
