Hello, I built a home in 2016 with a builder and the house started to leak prior to the close. The builder has attempted to remediate the issue multiple times . The drywall above my kitchen sink collapsed in this morning and the builder is not will to speak to me about this. They stated that my home warranty has expired and they are not responsible. The builder attempted to repair the leak before and after the home warranty exited. Are they responsible for the work and the damage? Thank you!!!

The short answer is yes, but depending on when you discovered the leak, you may be very close to your statute of limitations. You should consult with a construction attorney IMMEDIATELY. I cannot stress this enough.
