contingency contract with a roofer

Ohio
Anonymous Contractor

I live in Ohio and I signed what I believe to be a "contingency contract" with door to door roofing company (I do not have a copy of the document but I'm goin to request one). My question is, would the cooling off period apply in this situation? if so, I was not informed about a notice of cancellation or given a written copy of it and would that void our agreement?

Assuming this took place at your home, then R.C. 1345.22 would apply and allow a 3 day cancellation period.

If you happen to be outside of this window, I would call your insurance company and revoke any authorization you may have given to the roofing company to negotiate and act on your behalf with the insurance company.
