I gave fraudulently filed Lien and our lawyers sent notes of common suit. Is it wright way to deal with this?

We make contact for renovation and all price should be 75k and done in 4 month with company and add company representative as managers in our company. After 10 month job not done and we fire managers and begin to work by myself. We need to add 100k to finish job not done properly and without permits because previous managers decided. We payed all amount on contract and we wanted get it back after we will finish. Now we received mechanical lien on 120k. On job onder month after we fire managers.no work done. Our lawyer sent notes of common suit. Is it wright way to fight fraudulent lien?
