Can I file a lien as a subcontractor? We are unsure who the actual owners of the home are, but were hired by a contractor, would we send the lien to the contractor then?

In North Dakota, there's a requirement to send a notice of intent to lien at least 10 days before filing a lien. Both of those documents would be sent to the contractor and the property owner. It is critical to find that information out before starting this process.
