I am worried a contractor may try and place a mechanics lien on my converted school bus. There was never a written or signed bid/contract and they are saying I owe them the final payment of $1500 even though I do not believe the agreed upon work was completed. On January 17, 2022 we had a meeting and I sent a text outlining what I believed was agreed upon. That was ignored until January 27, 2022 and was subsequently verbally amended and that work also hasn’t been completed to what was agreed upon or expected. Are they in a position to file a mechanics lien?
