Can they file a Lien?

OklahomaMechanics Lien
Anonymous Contractor

We had a new roof put on house Nov 10,2021. I requested an itamized receipt multiple times. I made a payment of more than 50% of cost in late December but still had not received an itemized receipt/bill. Fast forward to march 23 the contractor finally sent me the correct itemized bill bill which I have agreed to pay. They also told me I have till Friday April 1 or they will file a lien on my property. Are they able to do this?

Whether they can file a lien depends in part on whether they have provided the necessary notice or notices within the correct time frame that they intend to file a lien. There isn't enough information in your question to determine whether or not any lien they might file would be enforceable. Check with an attorney for a more detailed response to your question.
