The home owner will not allow me to finish my contract job because i did not work two days in a row. Can she do this? There was no deadline in the contract.
In my experiance there typically are several reasons for early termination.
How were you infpormed of the termonation, verbal or letter? Do you have a written contract with the home owner? If so, does it have provisons addressing time of performance and termination of contract? Did the homeowner specificaly state the reason for termination was the two days of no work, or were there other complaints? Have you been paid for the work you performed prior to the termination? Is the homeowner displeaed with your work? Do you know if the homeowner has the funds to pay you or to have the work completed?
