I am the home owner. We live in Townhomes. A pipe leaked into my neighbors garage in our common wall with a pin hole leak. He called a plumber he had just had out. I just had back fusion surgery so I wasn't there when the plumber arrived. I assumed my neighbor had gotten a price. He did not. The plumber said it (and says it in his bill) that it was a simple straight forward repair. It ended up taking this guy 7 hours (which I wasn't aware of) before he gave up soldering and put shark bite fittings on it late at night. (which my neighbor could have done himself) and then he disappeared. He is now telling me my bill is $1405.00. I think that is unethical and he is trying to fleece me as he never gave me any price or hourly rate and just kept working. Appreciate the feedback.
