We are a garage door company that completed the replacement of a customer's door. They then filed a credit card dispute and were awarded back the second payment because it was past the 30 day Visa requirement (we got the notice very late). We do not use any lien forms when signing paperwork; we do have the customer sign the initial contract that shows the deposit they paid and the remainder amount due. Are we still able to file a lien?
