I live in FL. Had a new roof put on. BUT, doing so, They damaged My garage door & Gutters. Just want fixed, to previous standards before final payment. Roof CO. threatens with a lien.

You are right that the roofing company has to pay for damage they caused to your garage door and gutters. And I would typically advise a client in this situation not to pay the final payment until this is addressed. But there are more steps you could be taking. For example, I would suggest getting quotes to repair or replace your garage door and gutters, and offer to pay the roofer the difference if the roofer agrees to give you a lien release for the net final payment (i.e., after deducting your estimated repair costs). If that does not work, you should ask for their insurance information. The roofer may be stubborn and file a lien anyway. If that happens, you should consult an attorney on what to do next.
