Can I use my license from a current s-Corp to a new LLC if scorp is dissolved or do I need to apply for new license to achieve this goal thank you in advance for your guidances

No situation yet just trying to do things proper and been licensed since 2003 with a good standing with Cslb...Getting a divorce and both spouses are officers with no employees. License holder is the one asking.

That's a good question. According to this page from the CSLB, it appears that because licenses are issued to the business entity, rather than to the qualifying individual, a new license must be secured when shifting to a new business entity.

However, I'll admit that I'm not as well versed as some other experts may be in California's licensing regulations. Reaching out to a local contractors association or even to a local construction attorney might help to clear things up.
