Can I still file a mechanics lien?

ColoradoLien Deadlines

I was working on a project in Breckenridge and after completing the project I have not been paid. It says I’ve missed a deadline?

Missed the deadline for what? To foreclose the lien or to serve and file the preliminary notice and lien?

A lot more information is nececessary. What was the work on the project. Is a lien necessary or not? What is the value?

Happy to help: this is my 30th year of practice and our firm has a specific practice area invovling lien and payment claims in construciton. Feel free to call or email for free consultation.

Reach out to an attorney so they can get the facts and they will know exactly when you must serve and then file.

I agree with my colleagues that more information is required. It's not clear whether liening is even in your best interest though. There are other potential avenues should you miss a deadline. Feel free to call our office to discuss. 7205007855.

Even if you have missed a deadline to file a mechanics lien, you may still have a claim under breach of contract or another theory. You should consult with an experienced local attorney about your options.
