can i still file a lien after 1.5 years

FloridaCollections

I live in Florida, work as a sub -contractor for a Facility Maintenance company located also in Florida. Back in 2017 i performed about $54000 worth of jobs for them, they defaulted on all the 45 days to get paid but were paying me monthly over the last 1.5 years until now with the last 2 big jobs totaling $7600 over 535 days old. Could I still file a lien on this ?

A construction lien has to be filed within 90 days of last performance of work on the job. Perhaps a workaround could be negotiated if they intend to pay you but money is slow. avslaw@aol.com

Sounds like you are out of luck with the lien, but you can still file in small claims court (the limit was raised to $8000 January 1) without a lien.
