can I still extend my mechanic lien after the deadline?

I am a subcontractor in NYC, 3 mechanic lien was filed against the GC on a commercial job on 9/3/2020. Now is 9/14 and I missed the deadline to extend for another year, is there a way to extend the lien at this point or can I refile again? please advise.

Mechanic's liens are a creature of statute, there is very little wiggle room, if you do not conform to statutory requirements (and deadlines), it is exceedingly unlikely that your lien will survive (absent extremely limited facts and circumstances). You could have extended as a matter of right, if timely, but now your liens are likely gone. In the future, you should ask a construction lawyer to handle these issues for you.
