I have a lien on a property that has not been paid. The lien is about to expire. Both owners have died with no heirs to the estate. Bank holds the loan and has been paying taxes. What are my options.

No - Nebraska mechanics liens generally can't be extended. If their bank has been keeping the property out of foreclosure, then threatening to enforce your lien by sending the bank a Notice of Intent to Foreclose might lead to payment. Levelset discusses that option, among others, here: The 4 Steps to Take After Filing a Mechanics Lien. If the bank refuses to pay or even negotiate, then enforcing the lien might be the only option to force payment. To determine how best to proceed, consulting with a Nebraska construction lawyer would be useful: Find a Nebraska Construction Lawyer. After all, if a lien enforcement suit will be filed, you'll need a lawyer anyway.
