Can I put a lien on my bosses house if his company conducts business there?

UtahMechanics LienRight to Lien

The company I work for hasn't paid me for two checks and one bounced so I owe my bank for the bounced check. Can I put a lien on my bosses house since he conducts business out of his house? This is in utah

If you're referring to mechanics lien rights, then no - you can't file a mechanics lien against your boss' house for not paying you. Mechanics liens can generally be filed against the project property if you've performed construction work there and gone unpaid for that work. But, that lien is filed against the project property itself - not against an employer. Further, I'm not personally aware of any other type of lien claim being available in Utah for an employer failing to pay their employees. Though, some form of wage and hour claim may well be appropriate. If you've done construction work but not been paid, below are some resources that should be useful. - Utah Mechanics Lien Guide and FAQs - How to File a Mechanics Lien in Utah – Step by Step Guide Walkthrough
