Can i file lawsuit?

Colorado

Im a sub. Last time i was paid was in july and i stopped work in august. They still have not paid and are telling me its going to take more time. I had to let go of all employees because of this mess. Can i file a lawsuit to get paid faster and full amount of 92K?

There is a lot to unpack here, but iyou do have ways to try and get paid for your work. If you have not already, recording a proper mechanic's lien against the project may be your first step. However, there is a limited timeframe when you can record a lien, which may or may not have expired if you stopped work in August.

Even without a mechanic's lien there are different avenues you can pursue to get paid. I need more details and information to give you some actual advice here. If your unpaid $92k it may be worth reaching out to an attorney. If you need us, feel free to call our office and ask for me or my partner Neil. 7205007855.
