can i file a mechanics lien whithout a premilinary notice?

MinnesotaMechanics Lien

I started a project over more than 45 days ago, I did not send an initial preliminary notice. I am also a contractor, the contractor has not paid me, I do not have a written contract, however I have documentation that shows I was hired and agreed rates for the project, text messages and partial payment. I live in Minnesota. Can I still fill and send the lean claim, because the house that I did the job on is currently in pending status?

If you worked direct for owner and not thru another contractor you can sue and in the law suit ask for a lien. I might be able to help you collect this debt. Feel free to contact me at the number below or thru my email.
