I am a contractor that cleaned for a apartment complex. I stopped services because the check stopped coming. They owe a substantial amount of money. I have emailed questioning payment and no response so far but one response and everything since then no reply. Can I file a lien and request late fees on overdue invoices.

I also had a similar problem, when I accepted to clean at a building but through referral and no contract. I'm hoping there's a workaround here although the hope is only a little.
