I'm a consultant with a C-6 license. I was hired to oversee and supply materials for a Spec home. I did NOT install anything or do labor of any kind. The homeowner does not want to pay me for my services. Can I file a mechanics lien even though I was not a subcontractor on this job.
Yes. Anyone who provides work and/or materials for a project can record a mechanic's lien to recover payment due to them.
