Contacted by gentleman (general contractor) to provide concrete work. Finished the job, submitted invoice for work performed back in the first week of October 2020. Was told check would be here in a few days as he had to submit it. Have not been paid as of to date. Called and left messages, tried to find him to no avail. I guess you could say I was the subcontractor for this job. Talked with the homeowners where work was done and they stated they had paid him for the job under the contract that the general contractor had. As the subcontractor with a verbal agreement can I file a mechanic's lien on the property where work was completed?
