Can I file a lien in TX without having filed preliminary notices

Texas

I am a supplier who provided materials for a project in TX. I did not file any preliminary notices at all. Our lien deadline is coming up and we have one large invoice outstanding from April. Can we still file a lien or do we have a problem since we did not file preliminary notices?

Give notices, to trap retainage then file affidavit lien.
Only will be good against retainage
