Can I call the relator for the home that is for sale to let them know that lien is a possibility if payment is not met?
The house I finished work for has not paid, I am sending a 20 day notice. MY question is can i call the relator for the homeowner to let them know I will file a lien if payment is not met. The house is up for sale right now. thank you

If the preliminary 20-day notice is timely sent, then the lien will relate back to the date the notice is sent. If the notice was sent before the sale, then the lien is on the property even though the property has changed hands. You can call the realtor if you want to. But you should make sure your preliminary 20-day notice met the statutory requirements and was sent in a timely manner.
