I did a roof and other work for a customer and she is not paying can i add any fees or interest on the lien when i file it?
If your agreement outlines fees and the interest rate that apply because of default, sure. If you have no agreement, you can add the statutory interest rate.
Feel free to reach out to discuss this lien and to negotiate this matter.
Ok i have no clause for interest rate so how much can i add in Colorado Springs colorado and when can i add it
The statutory default interest of 12 percent per annum. C.R.S. § 38-22-101(5). That would be from default. Review your contract as to default.
Do you have any references on this and how to apply it on my invoice
Like formulas and such
Thanks
I provided you the statute. You make the calculation and make sure it is entirely accurate and then add it. Lien filings must be precise or you may lose your lien rights. The cost for advice is a fraction of the mistakes most people will make DIY.
