Im a subcontractor that has been working alone on a privately owned dually sectioned condo that the owners live in one side and rent other. Ive been working for 4 months without a license because state dont require for under 50000 in work. Verbal agreement was a weekly pay of 900 a week . I have done probably 30000 in work and ive only gotten considering 900 a week deal 9450. And im owed around 6600. And today he said UPS was delivering my check well no response and this is third time hes said he would pay me and been a week since he told me to get off the job for no reason but me asking for my money and him shorting my check to 720.00. Can i file a lein please help asap?
