Can a commercial subcontractor in MD work on a commercial project in VA or do i needed a license for VA for cabinets

Hi, I am a commercial subcontractor in MD I was wondering if I was able to work on a commercial project in VA or if i needed a license for VA? We were given a project to bid and I was wondering if I could bid it and work there legally.
