TexasBond Claims

Do we need an information about bonding company to notice claim lien? We already sent three notices but we did not receive information about bonding company.

No bonding information will be required in order to file a mechanics lien against the project property. Mechanics liens attach directly to the underlying land - not to any bond. However, if this is a public project and a payment bond claim (rather than a mechanics lien claim) is appropriate, then it'd be important to know who the surety company is that's providing the bond. Granted, if there's a payment bond on the private project (which isn't unheard of), then it might be important to obtain the bond information. If you're working on a public project and need to find the job's surety information, keep in mind you're entitled to that info upon request to the public agency who awarded the contract, pursuant to Sec. 2253.026 of the Texas Little Miller Act.
