I'm a subcontractor working a large commercial project and didn't get paid for work completed so I stop production & sent them a notice and then .. I put a lien on project but I was told that they are bonding the project because the owner ask them too . What can I do to protect myself and to recover my money invested in that project ? Also, the company that I have the contract with has a few lawsuits for doing the same thing in other projects ( not paying there subs) and they are now going out of business because of all this issues. I have all documentation and pictures of the work completed. The balance is $401,123.50 for that project.
