Bid document sharing with owner when lien is filed.

ColoradoMechanics LienPayment Disputes

The prime contractor was removed from a project we are working on due to thier performance not related to our work. We supplied about one million in mill work and are owed about $150K. I have filed a lien. I do not have an executed contract. Should I share pricing documents to the project owners who are promising to pay subcontractors on the job?

It's extremely common for an owner to want documentation that supports the amount of lien claims filed against their property. Sharing that information could ease their mind and will help them to understand what you're owed and why. So, unless there's some reason why you want to withhold that information, sharing your bid or invoice info with the owner should likely be a no-brainer. That way, the owner can be confident when they pay you for your work. With that being said, it's natural to be wary on a problem job. And, consulting with a Colorado construction lawyer might help you move forward with confidence. You can contact one here: Find a Colorado Construction Lawyer.
