As home owner in NC, we got letter on intent to lien on our house from concrete supplier. What should we do next?

North Carolina

A concrete patio that we installed in our backyard in oct2021 (i think it was 11thoct2021). We worked with a contractor named Alex and we had and agreement to make cash payment to him for job. We have Facebook messenger and text conversations showing that we paid in full, the cash amount. We do not have any paper contract signed, but everything is through text messages and Facebook messenger. Now fast forward, the concrete company (whom my contractor and another subcontractor subconteacted) sent us a letter, snapshot attached, that we opened yesterday, 29thjan2022, where in they are asking for payment for concrete and other information. The letter states that, If payment is not done, then they will put a lien on my property. FYI, we never dealt or talked with contractor Gabriel **(mentioned at bottom of the letter on page 2).
