When I look at the rates for the different title in my county, they are all around 30-40$..My client thinks the non-union rate should be higher?

Illinois very recently updated its prevailing wage laws, and apparently, the new prevailing wage laws put prevailing wages in line with union rates. Considering that the state's prevailing wage requirements have just been seriously adjusted, it's natural to be unsure of what rates must be paid. So, reaching out to the Illinois Department of Labor and asking for updated prevailing wage rates for your project might be the best bet for clarifying what must be paid. But, based on third-party publications on the new Illinois prevailing wage rules, it sounds like prevailing wage rates will be closely tied to union rates in Illinois.
