Have a active handyman business for 10 years without a license and would like to take on other projects and eventually get a contractors license.
Contracting is a strictly regulated profession in Florida and anything that sounds like "renting" a contractor's license is very risky. Entering into an arrangement that violates Chapter 489 and gets you dinged by DBPR will impair your ability to later obtain the desired contractor's license. There may be registered contractor options offered at the county level that might work for your business and be less onerous than state certification.
