Appropriate response to a mechanics lien

ColoradoMechanics Lien

I hired a contractor to perform some construction work. It was not done to specifications / plans provided and I withheld final payment ($6000). As the mistakes could made in construction could not easily be rectified, I did offer 20% reduced payment to compensate for receiving a lesser product than what was delivered. I saw this as a fair compromise as reconstruction would be expensive and I would accept the lesser product for a reduced cost. The contractor denied this offer and filed a lien. This is in Colorado. Work was completed almost 6mo ago and no communication has occurred since. Will the lien automatically expire? If so, I'm inclined to wait till this day and renew my offer for payment minus 20% as I feel some reasonable compensation for work performed is fair. Additionally, the lien was filed with a different trading name to who I dealt with. I suspect this is a parent company. Is that of concern for validity of the lien? My address is also incorrect on the notice (wrong city). Are these important factors if the contractor wanted to enforce?

I suspect no one here wants to admit that mechanics leans are generally ineffective for small amounts here. I suspect nothing will come from your lien and your offer is reasonable so you should stick to this plan.
