Am I allowed to work?

MissouriCoronavirus

As a general remodeling contractor am I considered an essential worker and allowed to work? I am self employed in the state of Missouri and we are under a stay at home order. I do residential home remodeling. Do I need to honor the stay at home work order or am I able to work?

It seems like, at least for now, Missouri is considering most construction essential under its stay home order. Further, Missouri has incorporated the federal guidelines from the Department of Homeland Security which is pretty lenient on construction. With that being said, it's crucial that social distancing and other precautions be taken on the job site - even if construction work may continue. Of course, things can change in a hurry. And, it's possible that further restrictions come down restricting construction work. To keep track, this tool from Levelset will be useful: Can I do Construction Work In my State?
