That's an interesting situation, and I'm sorry to hear you've gone unpaid. At the Construction Legal Center, we specialize in providing legal information for construction law questions - and unfortunately, this is a little bit outside of our wheelhouse. However, the Georgia Department of Revenue appears to have a great resource on this subject here: Recording a Lien and Security Interest on a Title. Good luck!

The article discusses the legal options available to a rental car company, Luxespeed , when a customer abandons a vehicle without paying. While the laws vary by state, the article suggests that Luxespeed could potentially file a lien against the vehicle and sell it to recoup some of their losses. However, the process can be complicated and time-consuming. It's important for rental car companies to have clear policies in place to address situations like these and to work with legal professionals to navigate the legal complexities involved.
