About Tyler Foutz
Tyler is a member at Skoubye Nielson & Johansen. His practice is centered in commercial litigation, specializing in real estate, construction, landlord/tenant, HOA, and general contract and business disputes. Tyler also has experience in personal injury and family law.

Tyler has over 12 years experience representing clients in all things real estate, including construction contracting and defects, development, property line disputes, financing and foreclosures, contract drafting and general disputes. He also represents home buyers and sellers with respect to issues that may arise during or after a residential or commercial property transaction. Many of Tyler’s clients are individuals or businesses dealing with financing or foreclosure issues as well. Tyler has experience representing real estate brokers and agents in contract and liability causes of action, procuring cause proceedings and general contract and listing disputes. Tyler is involved in leadership of the Construction Section of the Utah State bar, presently serving as Secretary.

Representing commercial and residential landlords and agents is also a primary part of Tyler’s practice. Tyler represents commercial landlords and tenants with respect to drafting and understanding commercial leases, and also where disputes arise as to lease performance and eviction. Tyler has significant experience representing residential landlords and property managers with respect to all aspects of lease preparation and eviction. HOA disputes are also a party of Tyler’s practice. Tyler represents tenants of residential lease disputes as well.

Tyler’s general litigation experience extends to family law and personal injury cases as well. He has represented clients through many bench and jury trials, appeared in all Utah State district courts and Federal Courts throughout Utah, and has successfully argued before the Utah Court of Appeals and Utah Supreme Court. Tyler has experience in as well as arbitration, mediation and informal settlement proceedings.
