About Steven Lovett
STEVEN R. LOVETT received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in l974. He received his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in l978. At Southwestern, he was a member of Law Review and was the author of a published article.

Mr. Lovett is a member in good standing of the State Bar of California, most courts of the State of California, and the United States Court of Claims. Mr. Lovett is a sole practitioner and is the author of California Partnership Handbook 2d, Search and Seizure Courtroom Book, and co-author of Arbitration Handbook 2d. In addition, he has edited over a dozen legal publications in areas including consumer law, business law, family law, criminal law and real estate law. Mr. Lovett has been listed in Who's Who Among Outstanding Americans 1994-1995. He was recognized as a Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine for 2013 through the present..
Mr. Lovett has been involved in hundreds of complex commercial litigation and construction trials and arbitrations representing institutional lenders, contractors, subcontractors, architects and designers. He has successfully litigated and arbitrated against defendants as disparate as school districts, developers and the United States Government. He has been a member of the California Association of Realtors lawyer referral panel, and has lectured for Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), National Business Institute (NBI), the California Association of Realtors (CAR) and Charing Cross Publishing Company (Lega-Books).
