About Shannon Walla
Shannon prides herself in being an experienced defense litigator, specializing in construction, employment, and insurance defense litigation. She is admitted to the State Bars of Washington and Texas, and received her Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Texas and Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. While at Pepperdine, Shannon served as a Senior Staff Member of the Pepperdine Law Review, and also interned for the Federal Trade Commission. Shannon completed her legal education in Seattle, Washington clerking for the King County Superior Court. Following graduation, Shannon clerked for the Honorable J. Robin Hunt at the Washington Court of Appeals.

While at the Court of Appeals, Shannon discovered her interest in maritime law, employment law, and insurance defense. Following her clerkship, she began working for a maritime and employment law firm specializing in serving the needs of maritime employers. She became an active member of the Puget Sound Marine Claims Association and the Marine Insurance Association of Seattle.

After several years working in a law firm, Shannon accepted an in-house position with Trident Seafoods, the largest seafood company in North America, where she frequently traveled to Alaska handling all manner of employment-related matters such as EEOC complaints, wage and hour issues, harassment investigations, I-9 Employment Verification audits, OFCCP audits, and general employee grievances.

Shannon brings a logical approach to her practice and achieving an efficient and economical solution for her clients. She believes that the best approach to solving her clients’ problems is to understand each client’s unique goals and concerns, and then fashion an approach that best serves those goals and concerns.
