I am betting the lien is improper and could be removed by a lawsuit. But yes, in general a contractor could file perfect a lien on property if he was not paid for services he provided. There are technical steps I am betting were not followed though. Best of luck.See More...
In general terms, if it’s a global contract or project, it should be the last invoice for the project. But if you have concerns, why wait until then and risk it?
