Professional Credentials
Nathan is an associate as Skoubye Nielson & Johansen where he focuses on commercial litigation, construction law, transportation law, and appellate advocacy. Nathan handled three appeals in Nebraska state appellate courts and two in the Eighth Circuit on issues ranging from sexual harassment to medical malpractice. In Utah, Nathan worked at the Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant Solicitor General where he briefed nearly 20 appeals and handled five oral arguments before the Utah Court of Appeals.

Education
Nathan attended the University of Utah where he graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Political Science and interned with the Utah State Legislature. In 2012, he graduated in the top ten-percent of his class from the University of Nebraska, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Nebraska Law Review, received awards for best oral advocate and best brief in appellate advocacy, and competed in a national closing argument competition at Harvard.

Admissions
Nathan is admitted to practice law in the states of Utah (active), Colorado (inactive), and Nebraska (inactive). He is a member of the Appellate Advocacy section of the Utah State Bar.

Personal
Nathan grew up in Utah County. He is an avid sports fan, specifically focused on basketball and football. He has served on a non-profit board for a transitional women’s shelter and at the legal self-help desk where he helped low-income families with their legal issues. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and trying to keep up with their soccer, basketball games, and dance recitals.
