Prior to forming Gustafson Law, P.A., Alan P. Gustafson, Jr. was a partner at a large, national law firm. He focuses his practice on providing quality, cost-effective legal services to individuals and businesses in the construction, community association, business, automotive, insurance and commercial fields or industries.
Since 2007, Alan has practiced with other Florida law firms but with a sustained focus on construction law and commercial litigation. He has represented general contractors, subcontractors, individuals, community associations and businesses as lead counsel and co-counsel in disputes regarding construction defects, surety bonds, breaches of contract, construction liens and professional licensing requirements; and has provided counsel in general planning and evaluation of risk management practices. Alan has also practiced in the areas of general civil litigation, community association law, and product liability. Prior to private practice, Alan served as an assistant state attorney with the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida; among various duties, he served as lead counsel in over 20 jury trials and numerous bench trials in both misdemeanor and felony level criminal cases.
