Miller Act Claim Form

If you’re unpaid for labor or materials furnished to a federal construction project you may be entitled to file a “Miller Act Claim” against the project’s payment bond. Doing this requires sending a claim form to the general contractor, which must be sent certified mail with return receipt requested.  It is also a good practice to file it with the public entity who commissioned the work and to send a copy to the surety.
