About Iowa Notice of Commencement Form
This free Iowa Notice of Commencement form is used in the state of Iowa to formally designate the beginning of the project. An Iowa Notice of Commencement is required to be filed with the Iowa Mechanic’s Notice & Lien Registry by the general contractor within 10 days of commencement of the work if the project is residential and the GC has or intends to hire any subs or suppliers on the project. Subs and suppliers will not be able to/required to file a preliminary notice if the NOC isn’t posted.
