On August 25, 2022, the Levelset Payment Professionals Community threw its first half-day education and networking event, hosted by notable Levelset customer SRS Distribution.

Unlike traditional Construction Credit Summits — which are a full day of education and evening of networking — events like that of August 25 consist of a short couple hours of education, plus an evening of drinks and dinner. These half-day events allow those who are unable to get away from their office for a full day to attend some key educational sessions — as well as network with their peers and teammates — outside their normal work environment.

Over 60 credit professionals registered to attend the event that took place at Maggiano’s in Plano, Texas, to get an update on Texas lien law Andy Harris with Andrews Myers and learn some process updates and best practices for collections from Vanessa Ford with J&J Worldwide Services.

During the event, Charles Edwards with SRS Distribution was able to award September’s Credit Manager of the Month award to attendee Patricia Howard, who was nominated by several of her peers and was ecstatic and surprised. It was one of the most authentic presentations I have ever witnessed!

Patricia received the nominations due to raising the standard of leadership in her department. Her nominations mentioned that Patricia has great relationships with customers, a great reputation for team building, and a helpful personality that encourages the new generation of credit professionals.

As with all our events, the raffle and door prize continued its distinction of craziness when SRS Distributions Natasha Ceaser was lucky enough to have won both the raffle and the door prize. “A shopping trip is definitely in the near future!” Natasha said.

After the educational portion of the afternoon, attendees enjoyed appetizers, desserts and cocktails, while engaging in conversations, playing games, and meeting one-on-one with sponsors and peers.

This event was sponsored by Caine & Weiner, and their representative Ken O’Rear was present to talk about collections and what services they offer.

We want to thank everyone who took the time out of their busy schedule to attend this event! Be sure to mark your calendar now to attend our Tampa Construction Credit Summit on September 22.
