Levelset Celebrates National Women in Construction Week

This week is National Women in Construction Week, and we thought we’d take the opportunity to mark the occasion. We are blessed to work with some outstanding women, not only at our main office in New Orleans, but in our Cairo, Egypt office as well. Many of our users – and some of our very best – are women hard at work in construction business offices all over the country.

Some of our industry peers have done a great job covering #WIC2017. Our friends at  ForConstructionPros.com published a nice article suggesting that women could be a great untapped workforce for an industry dealing with a labor shortage problem.

And ConstructionDive has a must-read series featuring interviews with 6 women construction leaders who are changing the industry.

In Levelset’s hometown of New Orleans, we’ve got a few local celebrities that just happen to be #WIC. The irrepressible Melissa Gibbs is a regular participant at numerous civic and business organizations and events throughout NOLA. And Simone Bruni Crouere, better know as The Demo Diva, has garnered much-deserved praise for her meteoric rise in the construction business following Hurricane Katrina.

And last but certainly not least, we’d like to give a shout out to Levelset’s very own Adele Tiblier, a successful woman who’s crushing it in 2 different fields – construction and technology – where women have traditionally been underrepresented.

In conclusion, Levelset would like to salute the all of the women hard at work in the construction industry. Congratulations to the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) for being the driving force behind #WIC2017. And be sure to check out the NAWIC’s 62nd Annual Meeting, taking place in August, 2017, in Anaheim, CA.
