The York County Prothonotary’s Office does not publicly disclose information on recording backlog.

If your construction project is located in York County, then yes, you should file your lien here.

Payment shall be made by cash, money order, certified check of business check. Credit cards are accepted for filings made in person in the York County Prothonotary’s office. No personal checks are accepted.

Go to the Civil Case Search button, look for your case by name or case number and then click on the document you want. You may then print that document.

If you want to get copies by mail, you must send in a money order for $1.00 per page.
