You can also submit your documents electronically.

You may contract with one of the County Clerk’s current registered electronic recording facilitators. E-recording facilitators

The Onondaga County Clerk’s Office does not publicly disclose information on recording backlog.

If your construction project is located in Onondaga County, then yes, you should file your lien here.

The Onondaga County Clerk’s Office accepts checks and credit cards. Note that the personal check limit is $125.00. All credit card transactions are subject to a service fee of 2.65% $3.00 minimum.

The Onondaga County Clerk’s recording fees are as follows:

Note that the County Clerk’s Office generates the cover page for all recorded documents. The cover page fee is included in the fees.

With a subscription you will be able to print documents at $0.65 per page. When making purchases, you must checkout through paypal. At the Paypal site you will have the opportunity to pay with a credit or debit card or pay with a paypal account if you have an existing one.

Note that certified copies can only be obtained in person or request by mail.
