We are a trucking company that subcontracted to a general contractor who is now being liquidated by the bank. We hauled dirt etc. to different oil well pad sites for several different land owners. Would we put a lien against the general contractor,or the oil well company, and what type of lien

We are the owners and GC on a renovation project. We have contracted with several sub contractors and some have contracts between $250,0000 and $500,000 dollars. When asked for a sworn statement. The sub provide a sworn statement indicating that all materials have been paid in cash. If the materials were paid in cash shouldn't the sub have cash receipts as evidence. What if the sub has lied. Are we exposed to the liability from the supplier even if he didn't post a notice to owner. I need the response as it is crucila to understand the legal consequences

TennesseeHello I am an HVAC Sub Contractor in GA.
I am involved in a mess. I took on a project that Consisted of the installation of Ductwork for three HVAC systems in a Commercial application. The entire job was finished and Passed the Rough-in inspection, all but a minute few punch items. My GC had no problem paying me through the job until it was time to pay the final invoice.
I had no time stipulation and didnt need one because I finished the job in a very reasonable time frame. Then after inspection he wants to say that I didnt do job well
Although the. Project Foreman and Project management say that I performed my job with great ability.
Please can you help.
I have documented every stage of project in 5 weeks.

VermontI am a homeowner. I have been paying my general contractor promptly for all work. It turns out my GC was not paying the subcontractors. The subcontractors have filed liens and are now threatening foreclosure. What recourse do I have? I cannot afford to double pay everything and now I am worried I will lose my house.

North CarolinaI am in the state of Texas, we are a subcontractor to the general contractor who is contracted with the owner directly. Since our projects go on for a few months in the commercial realm, and I have already sent the notice out did one of the months we are owed for, do I file the lien for just that month or the months following that as well even though they are technically not “past due” yet and we have not sent the notices out for the following months, as they would be due this month.

First I want to thank Levelset for the ease of their program. I used you template to file a Notice of lien. I am not on day 86 and believe if the actual lien is to be filed I need to do on day 90 or is there a grace period? not sure please walk me through as if the day gets here then I will be using your services to file.
