A owner hired my company to be an owners rep / manager of a hotel being built to over see the GC and didnt pay us. We are not licensed in Mississippi. Can we file a lien?
MississippiHello, I would love and sincerely appreciate the assistance of a lien expert. I have a $30,000 Construction Lien that I am looking to commence as timely as possible in Michigan. However, I have had no luck with locating a lien liaison who can assist with filing the claim. Do you have any contacts or websites that you would reccommend? Please let me know either way. MichiganHi! I have a question, it’s for my brother.
My brother used to run a construction business, and recently shit it down as of December 2019. On the last job, the house he worked on wanted an updated installation job, that my brothers company was able to fulfill, so he introduced his clients to a vendor that would supply what they need. Well the installation was done, but the client never paid the vendor. Now the vendor is going after my brother with a Mechanics Lein claiming he has obligations to pay them because he established the relationship. Do they have a legal ground to stand on? The client also never paid my brother, they walked off the job, the minute they were unable to pay.
MassachusettsWe are a subcontractor and have a job that we have not started any labor on, but we have paid our suppliers for material. The general contractor is not responding to our emails and we are concerned we are going to have an issue getting paid. Can we file a lien if there has not been any labor on the job?

MinnesotaHi! I am looking to file a lien, and unfortantely I am unable to find any real information regarding the general contractor who hired us. I know his phone number, first and last name, and have an email address for the supposed company. I cannot find that company anywhere online, but I do see a different company name associated with the gneral contractor. Is it OK if I send the intent to lien to this address, or how can I make sure I get it to the GC? We have all of the info on the property owner.
ColoradoWe sold materials to an electrician for 2 different residential sites. The electrician did not pay these invoices in full. The invoices are from 2018 and 2019. Would be able to put a lien on the residential sites?
MissouriWe hired a Design and Build company to create architect plans and 3D renderings for a closet and ADU addition. We were to move forward with the permit process and construction but due to COVID and new circumstances, we have been faced with delays and money loss in investments and change in life circumstance and now will not move forward with any work done/construction. CaliforniaI have had a lien filed our our home build from the lumber yard. We have cancelled checks from our General to pay for these materials that were not applied paid to the lumber yard. The contractor used another LLC to acquire the supplies. We do not have a contract with that LLC. The LLC that opened the account with the lumber yard never made a payment to the account. The lumber yard continued to deliver supplies for over 4 months with no payments. Does the lumber yard have a responsibly to make sure the LLC's they are extending credit to are creditable or can they just use the fact that they can file a lien as security for payment.

Are we able to still file a lien against this property even though it is outside our 90 day window to get the landlords attention?
CaliforniaA mechanics lien was put on my house after I purchased it and had to do with some house work the previous owner had done on it. Can it still possibly make me foreclose if its not taken care of and would have to be responsible for it? The lien notice and summons says since I benefitted from the work that was done that I am being sued too.
NevadaWhen filing a lien, can we include interest accrued in the lien amount?
